Lake County Updates Plow Map

As the region awaits the next winter storm, Lake County Mapping Department is pleased to share an updated plow map with our residents. Lake County Road and Bridge plows approximately 250 lane miles of roads. The updated Snow Plow Map details the roads that Lake County plows and further details the Priority level of County roads. County roads with the higher priority (green) are plowed first such as school bus routes, high service level roads and roads that access emergency services.

Normal Circumstance

Days with measurable snow amounts, routes will be plowed in their entirety.

Days without snow, crews will cleanup and push back snow routes as needed. All roads may not receive attention on those days.

On regular working days plowing operations will begin at 5:30 am and end at 2 pm.

Weekends and extended shift plowing may take place under the direction of the supervisor.

Extreme Circumstances

County Roads may not receive same day maintenance. First priority roads (green) will be plowed and kept open on extreme snow days.

Second and third priority roads (red) may not receive attention on those days.
