Last Tuesday, Lake County staff hosted a Community Town Hall to present findings related to the scope of work covered during the OHV Outfitter and Guide moratorium. The presentation included recommendations regarding Ordinance 23-01, a Roadway Use Guide, and a Commercial Recreational Permit. Staff also provided the community a plan for an OHV registration program, to be rolled out in 2025, and youth programming. More than 80 people joined the presentation in person or on zoom, many giving feedback during the comment period.
The presentation was recorded via zoom and is now available on Lake County's Youtube Channel.
On November 30, 2023, the BOCC voted to further extend the moratorium to February 20, 2024 to give staff time to consider all feedback obtained from the Town Hall. We thank all community members who participated. Those still wishing to make comment may also use this form to share their feedback.
