The County Attorney is the Chief Legal Officer of the County and is statutorily appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The County Attorney provides general legal advice and counsel to the Board, elected officials and county departments.
The County Attorney’s office oversees all general civil matters for Lake County, including land use, employment issues, property tax, election issues and contracts, as well as litigation related to the same.
