Lake County Senior Center Transportation Program
Transportation empowers seniors (ages 60 and over) to maintain their independence, ensuring greater mobility, health, and quality of life. Lake County Senior Center Transportation Program is a crucial factor for improving access to community support services throughout Lake and the surrounding counties of Chaffee, Eagle, and Summit.
The Lake County Senior Center provides reliable transportation with wheelchair accessible vans and bus for medical and dental appointments. The Senior Center also provides transportation for shopping and errands. Our trained staff and volunteer drivers serve seniors, ages 60 and over, with door to door transportation, however, seniors need to be able to transfer independently. Rides need to be pre-arranged at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
The Senior Center is funded by the Lake County Government. As with any organization, there are on-going expenses that make it challenging to provide needed services. A donation of any amount to our Senior Center Transportation Program helps to offset transportation costs so that we can get you where you need to go. No specific amount is requested. Even if you cannot afford to donate, we will not deny you a ride!
Please call 719-486-1774 to book a ride. We provide transportation Monday through Friday. The Senior Center is closed on holidays and weekends.
All who ride in a Senior Center vehicle will be required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability before transport.
