2021 to 2022 Recreation Master Plan

The Lake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan has officially been finalized. This has been an extensive process and could not have been completed without the help of the community.

There are many components of this PROS Plan as it provides a roadmap for future investment and prioritization for projects and initiatives related to parks, recreation, open space, and trails within Lake County. Specifically, the Plan includes an extensive analysis of existing conditions of recreation facilities, programming, resources, and services; recommendations for the future maintenance and operation of facilities, programs, parks, open space, and trails; and implementation, funding, and maintenance strategies to move forward. Overall, themes throughout the plan include the need to invest in long-term maintenance of existing facilities, strengthening partnerships throughout the community; pursuing the greatest community benefit while also maintaining financial viability, and providing recreational offerings for all ages.
