Lake County Public Health Agency currently oversees and conducts environmental health inspections at 5 kindergarten through 12 schools and 2 child care centers. Environmental health inspections help insure that children are learning in a space that is healthy and safe with practices and procedures that prevent the spread of illness. Test and Fix Water for Kids

Lake County Public Health Agency is conducting testing for lead in the drinking water in Lake County School District schools and licensed child cares in Lake County throughout the 2022/2023 winter with the WIIN voluntary lead testing program. This program is in partnership with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to assist schools in complying with the new Colorado House Bill 22-1358: Clean Water in Schools and Child Care Centers.
