Lake County Environmental Health Temporary Food Event Fee Schedule
Attention: Temporary Event Coordinators and Vendors the following fees are in effect.

Lake County Retail Food Special Event License Category Definition According to Colorado Revised Statutes Food Protection Act (CRS) 25-4-1601 (2016)
- Food: "Food" means any raw, cooked, or processed edible substance, ice, beverage, or ingredient used or intended for use or for sale in whole or in part for human consumption.
- Catering: A licensed retail food establishment that provides a contracted, prearranged number of meals and/or food products that are prepared at a licensed retail food establishment or commissary for service and consumed at a prearranged offsite location and not available for individual purchase.
- Cottage Foods: This applies to vendors selling the following food items: pickled fruits and vegetables with a finished equilibrium pH of 4.6 or below, spices, teas, dehydrated produce, nuts, seeds, honey, jams, jellies, preserves, fruit butter, flour, and baked goods, including candies, fruit empanadas, tortillas and other similar products that do not require refrigeration for safety. Up to 250 dozen whole eggs per month may also be sold. (Does not include any potentially hazardous foods that require refrigeration e.g meats, cheeses, dairy, cut fruits or vegetables)
- For Profit: A retail food establishment offering food for retail sale to consumers
- No Fee License Government Entity/Non-Profit: Nonprofit organization that provides food solely to people who are food insecure, including, but not limited to, a soup kitchen, food pantry, or home delivery service
