Career Firefighter

• LLCFR has 10 career positions, consisting of 3 Firefighters, 3 Engineers, 3 Captains, and 1 Chief.
• Career Firefighters provide emergency response to fires, rescues, medical and hazardous materials emergencies, and perform other duties including maintaining Department facilities and apparatus.
• Each career Firefighter also coordinates at least one program of the Department. These programs include direct service delivery to the community, such as the Department's wildfire and hazardous materials programs, and service support, such as vehicle maintenance and training.
• To be eligible for a career position with LLCFR, individuals must possess at least Firefighter I (IFSAC), EMT-Basic, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Wildland Fire "Red Card" certifications.
• Specific requirements will be posted as career opportunities become available.
